Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Sondine ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Sondine is a macOS desktop application that captures audio from your microphone, system audio, and per-app sources, transcribes it locally using on-device AI models, and organizes it into searchable conversations. All processing happens on your machine.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal and professional purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works based on the App, except as permitted by applicable law.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with all applicable laws, including privacy and recording consent laws in your jurisdiction.

You must obtain consent from all parties before recording conversations where required by law. Sondine does not provide legal advice regarding recording consent.

Sondine processes all audio and text locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your transcripts, audio recordings, or any personal data on our servers.

All rights, title, and interest in the App, including its design, code, and branding, remain the property of Sondine. Your use of the App does not transfer any ownership rights.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of transcriptions or the uninterrupted operation of the App.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sondine shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or our website.
